How often do we focus on what we don’t want? Remember that what we put out is what we get back, so by focusing on what you don’t want you are attracting more of that into your life. Flip your negative thoughts around by choosing more positive, life-giving thoughts:

I’m so overweight = I can heal my body
This is so difficult = How else can I do this?
Everyone walks all over me = I can say no and be a kind person
I never have enough money = Money is constantly circulating back to me
If I do x, he/she will love me = I invite others to love me as I love myself
If I put down boundaries they’ll reject me = Boundaries show how much I respect our relationship (and myself)
Yes, but… = Let me consider that from a place of creativity
I hate Mondays = I bring the joy from the weekend into my week
Why do good people suffer = Obstacles are detours in the right direction
What if I fail = How could this change things for me
Success is scary = How can my success inspire those around me
I deserve to suffer = I feel compassion for myself
I judge others = I understand what this is triggering in me and choose to see it differently
Who am I to do this = I am unique, talented and special and it is my right to share that with others
I am depressed = I am open to creative possibilities

I can go on and on. It’s not always easy to think positively when you are in a negative space. If you are struggling to turn your thoughts around, do something which you know lifts your spirits – talk a walk, sit in the garden, play with your dog, watch a motivational clip, meditate, exercise, cook a beautiful meal, pick some flowers etc. By doing one thing to lift your spirits you are telling yourself that you are willing to turn things around and this will make it easier to start thinking differently.
